About this educational activity

Algorithm for femoral reconstruction in hip revision
Accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England*
This module will provide learners with a thoughtful methodology to the evaluation and treatment of patients with femoral implant failure after hip joint replacement and highlights the goals and challenges of femoral revision surgery. The use of an algorithm is critical to achieve a reproducible femoral reconstruction. This module reviews the key considerations based on the Paprosky classification, demonstrates techniques and choices for different classifications of defected or lost bone in the femur to optimise fixation and stability.
